The citizens of Luxembourg and Chile are now able to apply for an e-Tourist Visa (eTV) when travelling to India. The eTV is a multiple entry visa, valid for 60 days from the date of first entry into India. The eTV is available for a maximum of 30 days stay in India.

The e-Tourist Visa (eTV) facility has been extended by the Government of India to the citizens of 150 countries with a view to promote tourism to India. The facility is in addition to the regular Tourist Visa (TV) facility available to eligible foreign nationals.

The eTV facility will be available for citizens of Luxembourg and Chile from 15th August, 2014.

The process for applying for an eTV is simple and can be completed online, without the need to visit an Indian consulate or embassy. Applicants will need to fill out an online application form, and upload a digital photograph and a copy of their passport. Once the application is submitted, the applicant will need to make a payment using a credit or debit card. The eTV will then be processed andissued electronically.

Once the eTV is issued, the applicant will need to print out a copy of the visa, and carry it with them when travelling to India. The visa will need to be presented to immigration officials on arrival in India.

The eTV is a multiple entry visa, which means that the holder can enter and exit India as many times as they wish during the period of validity of the visa. The visa is valid for 60 days from the date of first entry into India, and allows for a maximum stay of 30 days in India.
